When MySpace bought Imeem, licensing issues meant the latter’s user-generated playlists didn’t make it across. It wasn’t MySpace’s fault, but users were angry nonetheless at losing access to the playlists they’d created on the old site. However, now MySpace has rectified the issue, with a new Import Playlists feature that brings them back to life. “This process isn’t perfect and while we expect most of your content to have migrated from imeem to MySpace Music, we appreciate your understanding if any discrepancies between the two music catalogs affected your individual playlists,” says its email to users.
