Months after it was first announced, The Pirate Bay’s IPREDator service has launched commercially, allowing people to pay five Euros a month for seemingly anonymous internet access – including their torrent downloads. The service has been in beta since mid-2008, having been announced as a response to the Swedish IPRED law, which allowed copyright owners to demand details of alleged file-sharers from ISPs.
