According to a report on TechCrunch, US ISP Comcast is in negotiations to launch a streaming music service, which will be offered to its customers for around $5 a month on top of their existing broadband charges. The service would deliver music not just over the web, but via set-top boxes to TVs as well. The latter is what would separate Comcast’s offering from existing streaming services, although as we explained in this week’s Music Ally Report, TV is one of the new frontiers for Pandora, Spotify and their rivals.
