Apple has announced its fiscal first-quarter financials, revealing revenues of $15.68 billion and a net profit of $3.38 billion for the quarter ending 26 December. That’s up from $11.88 billion revenues and $2.26 billion in the same period in 2008. Apple sold 8.7 million iPhones during the quarter, up 100% year-on-year, while selling 21 million iPods – down 8% in the same period.
