Music platform Soundcloud has announced a significant new partnership with music blogs aggregator The Hype Machine. The deal is about helping labels and artists to distribute their new releases to key bloggers, and then track how and when it’s listened to wherever it’s embedded by those bloggers – who’ll have access to a range of player widgets from Soundcloud. The deal also means Hype Machine will now detect Soundcloud’s players, counting them towards its charts.
