Music and media delivery firm MediaNet has reported 200 million music downloads and 150 million streams across its network of customer sites – who include iLike, HMV, tesco, MOG and Fox News. According to CEO Alan McGlade, the downloads were up 124% year-on-year. “We see the growth coming from our partners and their users. But we also see more extensive activity from existing users. Digital music has become a mainstream part of more people’s lives,” he tells Hypebot. He also predicts that more ISPs will launch music streaming and add-on services in 2010.
