A new piece of research claims 60 million Americans tune in to internet radio in the average week. Of those, 84% regularly listen to online simulcasts of existing terrestrial radio stations, while 62% listen to online-only stations. The study predicts that by 2015, 77 million Americans will be regularly listening online – and that simulcasts will reach an equal number of online and offline listeners.
