Deep Purple is the latest artist to sign up for its own D2C webstore, powered by Digital Stores – which already runs outlets for the Beatles and The Prodigy, among other acts. The Deep Purple store will sell physical and digital music from both the band and its members’ solo offshoots, while also selling tickets for tours. “We’re all jumping around, making devil signs and chanting the opening bars to Smoke On The Water,” notes commercial director Simon Coates.
