O2 has announced a partnership with Shazam that’ll see the operator’s customers getting targeted ads for upcoming gigs, based on the songs they’ve been tagging with Shazam. It all ties into the O2 Priority Tickets service, while the ads will be provided by UK firm 4th Screen Advertising. The deal is based around Shazam’s iPhone app, and will give users first dibs on tickets for gigs at The O2 venue in London, as well as its stable of O2 Academy venues around the country.
