Suzanne Vega – singer songwriter behind hits like “Luka” and “Tom’s Diner” – has selected direct-to-consumer music widget company Nimbit as a distribution partner for her latest album. The release, called “Close Up Vol. 1” (it’s expected that there will be more albums in the series) will feature a variety of love songs including “Marlene On The Wall” and “Small Blue Thing”. US bookshop Barnes and Noble will partner in the release, which will also be sold on iTunes, but Nimbit is co-ordinating its efforts in conjuction with Suzanne Vega’s Facebook page and her SuzanneVega.com site.
