Handset manufacturer Sony Ericsson has unveiled a new concept called Creation which is all about user generated content. Or as Sony Ericsson’s press blurb puts it: “…facilitating the evolving needs of consumers, content publishers and developers, creating a community and a movement where they come together to personalise, share and continuously evolve and co-create mobile content.” Sounds a bit like YouTube for mobile, right? Wrong! Sony Ericsson is encouraging user to remix the content, with remixing tools provided by app developers and available on a number of mobile phones. To prove it the company has hired noted DJ Tom Middleton to mash up content from delegates at the Mobile World Congress and it’s running a “Make The Music Come Alive” competition.
