Twitter will unveil its long-anticipated advertising strategy next month, according to MediaPost. The only official statement comes from the company’s head of product management and monetization Anamitra Banerji: “We are working on an ad platform, but it’s only in the test phase”. However, during a panel session at the IAB Annual Leadership Meeting conference, Banerji confirmed that Twitter users will start seeing the ads within the next month or so, but promised that it will be “explicitly clear” when an ad is shown, and that they will be “relevant and useful, so the user doesn’t think of it as an ad”.
