When Erykah Badu realised she needed last-minute clearance of a Wings sample on a song from her new album, she appealed to Twitter. “If I can talk to PAUL MCCARTNEY I can get the sample cleared .. have less than 24 hours or song wont make album . help” she tweeted. Apparently – and we’re not making this up – Lenny Kravitz spotted the tweet and put Badu in touch with Stella McCartney, who passed her onto Sir Paul, who approved the sample. “I want 2 officially thank my Twitter fam 4 helping me2 clear my Paul McCartney sample!” she tweeted yesterday.
