Industry site Inside Facebook has been crunching numbers to try and figure out Facebook’s revenues for 2009, and based on estimates from industry sources, tags the number at around $635 million. What’s more, the site thinks this could rise to $1.1 billion in 2010. It breaks the 2009 figure down, too: $225 million from brand advertising, $50 million from its ads deal with Microsoft, $10 million from sales of its virtual credits, and $350 million from performance advertising. Inside Facebook also suggests that the social network will “gradually chip away at brand advertising spending on other big websites, including Yahoo and MySpace” in 2010 and beyond.
