US streaming music service MOG will show off its mobile application on 15 March at the SXSW festival, in what’s already being talked up as a battle with Spotify, which is giving a keynote the following day. MOG’s mobile app is no secret – the company has been talking about its plans to launch the app for a few months now. What will be interesting will be pricing – the online MOG subscription service costs $5 a month, but the company is expected to charge extra for additional mobile access. Meanwhile, there’s still no news on whether the Spotify keynote will include an announcement of that service’s US launch. Source: VentureBeat
