It’s not long until this year’s South by Southwest (SXSW) festival, with hundreds of tracks from participating bands available to download as MP3s from the official website. An easier way to get hold of them, though, is BitTorrent – where they have been packaged up (seemingly with the festival’s blessing) by Ben Stolt. Two torrents are available – one 3.35GB download with 646 songs, and one 2.08GB download with 392 tracks. That’s more than a thousand tracks in total. Talking of SXSW, social location app Foursquare has teamed with music magazine Spin for a promotion – festivalgoers who check in at music venues during the festival can win special Spin badges, with tickets to the magazine’s showcase gig available to people who unlock all the badges.Source: TorrentFreak Source: Mashable
