French online video service has bagged another major label deal, with Warner Music Group. The deal means it will be able to stream WMG’s catalogue of videos in the US, Europe and Africa. EMI recently also signed a deal with the company. It seems WMG’s deal with Dailymotion is similar to its revised agreement with YouTube – the label will control ad sales around its content, and there will be branding and links to the artists’ websites. Dailymotion claims to have almost doubled its global audience in the last year, and is currently on a licensing charge to add more music content. Source: Billboard
