UK-based music recommendation service Mflow hasn’t officially launched yet, but it’s already signed a marketing deal with Island Records. The latter’s new artist Lauren Pritchard will have her debut EP available on Mflow for free ahead of its release on 26 April, with the marketing around the EP and her upcoming tour pointing fans to the Mflow site. “When launching a great new artist like Lauren Pritchard It’s increasingly important to get music out to the opinion formers and encourage them to spread the word,” says Island’s head of digital Glenn Cooper. Mflow will launch next month, and allow users to recommend songs for friends, then get a cut if that recommendation results in a purchase. Source: Music Week
