As their Plastic Beach album is released, Gorillaz have kicked off a cross-platform multimedia fandango (a technical term). It includes a revamped website, for which launch partner The Guardian has a tongue-in-cheek ‘travel brochure’. Meanwhile, the band have also embraced the iTunes LP format – interesting in the light of the story earlier in this Bulletin. The iTunes LP version of Plastic Beach includes the video for lead single Stylo, a Making Of documentary, trailers, animations, a stills gallery, interactive game and access to ‘online extras’ including live footage.
