Well, this is one artist we hadn’t predicted would re-release back-catalogue albums as iPhone apps. The KLF’s infamous album 1987 has been turned into an iPhone app by Japanese label Records (the ‘c’ is actually a smaller-than sign, but it plays merry hell with our HTML formatting). The app recreates the 12-inch version of the album, which famously had all its copyright-infringing samples edited out to leave just 25 minutes of music. Records is a Japanese label that only releases music as iPhone apps. Source: AppShopper
