UK satellite TV firm Sky has announced plans to promote a new album on its Sky Anytime on-demand platform every Monday this month. Customers will be able to listen to albums by Marina & The Diamonds, Ellie Goulding, The White Stripes and Mumford & Sons for a week each, thanks to Sky’s deal with Warner Music Group. The idea is to push users to Sky’s Sky Songs subscription service. “To put an album product in front of consumers so they can listen to it in its entirely in what we feel is a secure environment is important,” says Warner Music Europe’s business development director Noel Penzer.
