Following this month’s heavyweight Gorillaz iTunes LP, now another currently-hot band are backing Apple’s interactive album format. Broken Bells is the collaboration between Danger Mouse and James Mercer of The Shins, and their debut album is being sold as an iTunes LP with a big focus on the visuals. When it launched last year, iTunes LP was seemingly all about giving catalogue albums a new lease of life. However, the Gorillaz and Broken Bells LPs appear to show that some current artists are also getting to grips with the format’s creative possibilities. Source: SandboxFM
