Music has been pretty low-profile in the pre-launch hype around Apple’s iPad, but it’s safe to say there’ll be a number of music apps available for the device, and an opportunity for music marketers to create artist apps as they have for iPhone. Kyte is aiming to help, having launched a new software development kit (SDK) for iPad, as well as its existing iPhone and iPod touch support. Videos will be converted to HTML5 from Flash to ensure they run on the iPad, and a mockup for OM Records shows how the mixture of videos and chat will look on the big screen. Source: TechCrunch
