The latest band to hit the App Store is Linkin Park, who’ve teamed up with developer Artificial Life to release an iPhone game called Linkin Park 8-Bit Rebellion. As the name implies, it’s an 80s-inspired retro game: players battle through side-scrolling levels based on the band members, complete with chiptune versions of the band’s biggest hits. What’s more, completing the game unlocks a new and exclusive song called Blackbirds, so there’s an incentive for fans to buy it. Online features include IM chats, in-app messaging, forums, rankings and virtual items, along with a news feed from the band. Video Trailer Source: Billboard
