US online TV service Hulu has announced that it generated more than $100 million of revenues from advertising last year, and is on track to pass that figure by the middle of this year too. The company, which is a joint venture between several US broadcasters, says it achieved net profitability in the last quarter of 2009 and the first quarter of this year. Hulu has signed several deals with labels to add music videos to its catalogue recently.
