Microsoft’s investment in its Windows Phone 7 Series smartphone OS made some gadget-watchers wonder if its Zune devices were on the way out – the Zune software is a key part of the WinPho 7 platform. However, Microsoft has announced that it’s releasing a new Zune HD player on 12 April, with 64GB of storage space and a $349.99 price tag. The existing 16GB and 32GB models are getting price cuts at the same time. New Zune software will accompany the new device, adding extra features. Source: Engadget
