As we said above, Pandora was one of the music services releasing an iPad app for the launch of Apple’s tablet this weekend. The app has been redesigned for the bigger screen, with additional album artwork and more band information to read while listening to music. However, alongside the launch, founder Tim Westergren blogged that Pandora has just signed up its 50 millionth user, just three and a half months after passing the 40 million milestone. “The growth of mobile has clearly helped a ton,” he writes. “An ever-increasing number of folks are coming to Pandora for the first time on a smartphone or a blue-ray player, or a connected home audio device.
