White Stripes frontman Jack White says new artists should throw away their consoles. Asked to suggest three things that new acts need, he replied: “They need to quit playing video games, throw away their Auto-Tune program and cut three strings off their guitar.” As games site CVG archly points out,the White Stripes have had tracks used in Guitar Hero 5, The Raconteurs were in Guitar Hero: World Tour, and his latest band The Dead Weather have songs for sale in the Rock Band Store. We don’t think anyone can nail him for the Auto-Tune thing, mind.
