A new iPad app called 5-0 Radio HD: Police Scanner + Music for iPad does exactly what its name implies. It lets users tune in to police and fire department radio feeds live, while also offering more than 30,000 online radio stations for music. However, it also includes the ability to “record any radio feed on this app and email a copy to your friends”, as well as the claim that it can run in the background. The latter is surely untrue – multi-tasking won’t be possible on the iPad until Autumn, when it gets the iPhone 4 software. Source: AppShopper
