There’s a buzz around social digital music retail at the moment, with Mflow about to launch in the UK, and Apple quietly ramping up its partnership with Facebook. Another company worth watching is WaTunes, which has launched a Facebook application to sell MP3s. Warner Music Group has become the third major label to strike a licensing deal with WaTunes, following Universal Music Group and EMI. The store lets users stream 30-second previews, buy tracks and albums, and share details of their purchases with their friends on Facebook and Twitter. The store has so far only launched for US users of the social network. Source: TechCrunch
