Forget ad-supported music, how about burger’n’fries-supported music? French service Deezer has a new deal with McDonald’s to provide streaming playlists in the company’s French outlets. The deal is the work of the new Soundeezer division, which is focused on bringing Deezer’s technology to brands. It raises the prospect of streaming services acting as competition for radio within retailers and restaurants. Source: Music Week
