Social media firm Virtue has published some research into the value of fans on social networks. Its analysis: a fanbase of one million people on Facebook translates into at least $3.6 million of “equivalent media” over the course of a year. Hence the $3.60 stat. That’s based on the number of impressions for that brand that appear in people’s Facebook news feeds via those fans. A marketer posting twice a day will thus get around 60 million impressions a month through the Facebook news feed. Source: AdWeek
