Last.fm announced it has scrobbled its 40 billionth track. The CBS Interactive subsidiary is also trumpeting new figures from comScore which claim its US pageviews are up 97% year-on-year, while time spent on the site is up 113%. The company says that at its busiest times, 800 songs a second are being scrobbled – something that looks set to increase thanks to its partnerships with streaming services like Spotify and we7, signed as it axed its own streaming elements.
