We reported on Apple’s Q1 financials earlier this week, but Business Insider has produced a handy chart that shows at a glance how important iPhone has become to the company’s bottom line. In less than three years, the iPhone has grown to account for 40% of the company’s total revenues – its biggest segment, followed by the 28% accounted for by Macs. As we pointed out before, sales of iPhone hardware are now nearly five times the revenues generated by Apple from sales of content on the iTunes Store and App Store. Source: Business Insider
