Music search engine SeeqPod shut down last year in the face of legal action from several major labels, with the founders spending much of the last 12 months trying to sell its assets. It seems they’ve finally succeeded: social music site Bloson has bought SeeqPod’s domain name and mailing list anyway, and will use them to build its own audience. Bloson is interesting: it’s a music site with a charitable focus, donating money to various causes based on the purchases and activities of its users. SeeqPod’s four-million-strong userbase should expect an email invitation to Bloson to arrive imminently.
