US artist John Mayer is a big hit on Twitter, with over 3.2 million followers. However, it seems he’s disillusioned with the service, telling a conference that “I think it’s pretty much done… Twitter as a form of communication, I think it’s over to be honest with you.” However, he’s since clarified on his own One Forty Plus blog that what he meant was Twitter is over for HIM, not for everyone. “Call me crazy, but I don’t think it’s the healthiest thing in the world to read scads of mentions/@replies and effectively open the floodgate of other people’s approval/disapproval,” he writes.
