We wrote recently in the Music Ally Report about the increasing crossover between live music and social media. The latest startup investigating the area is Big Live, which launches in June. It’ll mix streaming concert videos with live chat, pulling in people’s profiles from Twitter, Facebook and MySpace to help them connect with their friends. The company has several venues signed up as streaming providers. “Given a number of choices, people are going to go where their friends are despite whether or not that’s their first choice of content to watch,” explains founder Mike Rudoy.
