There are hundreds – and possibly thousands – of unlicensed lyrics apps for iPhone, which doesn’t yet seem to have attracted the ire of publishers that unlicensed websites have. Still, there’s now a legal alternative: an app called Touch Lyrics 2. It claims to have words for more than one million songs courtesy of deals with the big four publishers. It also works with iTunes, allowing people to watch scrolling lyrics while listening to their music collection. The app also pulls in album artwork. “We’re paying publishers big bucks to access their entire lyrics database!” claims the excitable App Store blurb. The app costs $0.99. Source: AppShopper
