Gracenote subsidiary Gravity Mobile is taking on Shazam and SoundHound with its MusicID iPhone app, which has just been released in 90 countries. The app is already available in the US, called MusicID with Lyrics, and Gravity Mobile claims it’s now the top paid music discovery app on the US App Store. The app lets users search for songs by holding their iPhone up when a track is playing, or by typing in a line from the lyrics.
