Don’t worry, it isn’t permanent. Yesterday, some enterprising Twitter users discovered a bug that let anyone force any other user to follow them, simply by tweeting ‘accept’ and a Twitter username (for example ‘accept @musically’). Once discovered, people rushed to force celebrities to follow them, which led Twitter to take action. For an entertaining few hours, every Twitter user’s follower count dropped to zero while Twitter fixed the problem. We’d love to have been a fly on the wall if Justin Bieber’s digital marketing manager had logged in during the outage though… Source: VentureBeat
