US mobile operator Sprint is launching the HTC EVO 4G smartphone on 4 June – its first handset that will run on its new faster 4G network. It’s also announced the pricing, which is pretty eye-watering. The handset will cost $200, which is fine, but users will also sign up to a $110-a-month contract. That said, the price includes unlimited voice calls and data, as well as turning the phone into a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to eight of their other devices (there’s an $80 option without the hotspot mode). The EVO 4G is an Android handset, so users will be able to use the various music services available on Google’s platform, such as Pandora and (when it launches in the US) Spotify. Source: MocoNews
