KickassTorrents is on Facebook! Sign up to be a fan! Oh, you can’t. It seems Facebook’s dislike for piracy goes further than its decision last year to block The Pirate Bay from encouraging users to post links to torrents. The social network has just deleted a fan page created by torrent site KickassTorrents, which had signed up 25,000 fans in a matter of days. “acebook respects copyrights and our Terms of Service prohibits placement of `Share on Facebook’ links on sites that contain any content that is infringing,” explains a spokesperson. KickassTorrent claims it wasn’t placing any such links on its site, though. It’s more proof that social networks are sensitive to scrutiny over their approach to piracy – Twitter has recently deleted several torrent sites’ Twitter accounts too. Source: TorrentFreak
