Slice, a music application for Android smartphones that’s due to launch this weekend, is the first company to take advantage of the deal between Echo Nest’s and Play.me which offers licensed music to startups and app developers using its APIs. Slice lets users stream music, and discover similar artists and songs using a whizzy-looking circular design.
