We reported yesterday on Echo Nest’s deal with Play.me to offer licensed music to startups and app developers using its APIs. One of the first to take advantage is Slice, a music application for Android smartphones that’s due to launch this weekend. It lets users stream music, and discover similar artists and songs using a whizzy-looking circular design. “Slice lets you listen to continuous play of your favorite artists, gives you song level control when you want it, and makes music discovery visual,” explains the blurb.
