Music videos portal Vevo will launch its iPhone app this summer, according to CEO Rio Caraeff. He revealed the news at the NARM conference yesterday, according to Hypebot, which quotes Caraeff as saying “iPhone app launching in June. But ultimately want to be less app dependent and more browser driven”. Caraeff also told attendees that Vevo wants to be a “Pandora-style on-demand, constant stream of music videos”. A separate quote from the show, from Hip Digital’s Josh Gertz, is worth thinking about: “Content is no longer king. Access is king! Fans should be able to listen on phone, PC, iPod…” Source: Hypebot
