Online digital sheet music retailer Musicnotes has launched an official iPad app, which lets its customers view their purchases on Apple’s tablet. The app is free, and synchronises with users’ existing Musicnotes accounts to download songs. They can type comments in the iPad app, while swiping and zooming their way around the songs. Future updates will allow songs to be grouped into setlists. “When we were designing this app, our approach was to view the iPad as a replacement for the traditional paper-based sheet music experience,” says director of web and marketing Bill Aicher.
