The latest research from comScore reveals that 23.8% of mobile users across five key European markets (UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain) listen to music on their phones. However, while 20.3% are sideloading music from their PC to their handset, only 1.9% are downloading full-tracks over the air. The UK is an interesting market: the number of people who download full tracks (2.1%) is about to overtake the number of people who download ringtones (2.2%) – although that says more about the decline of the latter.
