Remember BlueBeat? The US music service made waves last year when it tried to sell digital Beatles songs, claiming that ‘psycho-acoustic simulation’ meant it didn’t need a licensing agreement. A court begged to differ. Now BlueBeat has returned as a streaming music iPhone app. “Sign up for a free account and create playlists of your favorite songs. Listen as often as you like. Share playlists with your friends,” says its App Store blurb. We downloaded it this morning, and yes: you can stream Beatles songs, as well as Bob Dylan, AC/DC and other artists whose catalogues aren’t licensed for streaming… Source: AppShopper
