Music game developer Harmonix says its recently-launched Rock Band Network is doing well, with more than 9,000 users for its free version, with 700 who’ve upgraded to the paid ‘premium creators membership’. Rock Band Network lets artists and labels create their own track downloads for the Rock Band games, and Harmonix says that more than 400 have been made available since the network’s beta launch in January. So far, songs are only available in the Xbox 360 versions of the games, but they will soon also come to PS3, Wii and mobile versions. Meanwhile, Harmonix says around 1,100 songs have been licensed for the games, generating more than 70 million in-game track downloads. Source: Billboard
