US mobile entertainment firm Thumbplay has launched its Thumbplay Music streaming service as an iPhone app, following its debut on BlackBerry in March, and subsequent release for Android earlier this month. The app lets people listen to on-demand songs and albums over the network, with playlist creation and cross-platform aspects too. They pay $9.99 a month to use the service on iPhone as well as on PC or Mac. The app description on the App Store makes no mention of an offline mode, which is present in the other two apps.
